Come Spend Some Time With Yourself...
Beginner yoga classes are held at Halsa Naturopathic Medicine, in the yoga room. Classes are small, no more than 4 people at a time. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class begins. For many, trying yoga can be intimidating, and that is why this smaller class size and environment are perfect for beginners: helps to create a safe space that is welcoming, inclusive and nourishing for all who attend, and therefore you can get the most out of your experience. Yoga is a tool, to practice self-care and self-discovery. Yoga means "union" and the practice is all about simply inviting yourself into the body for awareness and connection to the breath. The goal of yoga is to discover how poses feel in your body, and not worry too much about how we look while doing a pose. We aim for intention of embodiment and a balance of effort and ease, while dropping judgment around how we might look. Dr. Moyaert offers a warm sense of encouragement, kindness and cultivation of community so that you can focus on your wellness and really drop into the present moment for your yoga. Creating the time to step away from stress, step onto your mat, in turn offers the space for a new experience that can be extremely beneficial to your health in all realms: mental, emotional and physical. For more information, or if you have any questions, please email drkellymoyaert@gmail.com
Please bring your own yoga mat and any props you would like to use (yoga block, strap, etc.,) Dr. Moyaert does have props available if needed. If attending Restorative Yoga please wear socks and consider bringing your own blanket (to use as cushion or warmth or to cover the provided bolsters, if you would like.)
