Living Keen and Eating Clean

I am currently leading a group workshop, called Living Keen and Eating Clean. Over the span of five weeks, the group meets to create a circle of support and connection as each of them journey through a 21 day Spring Detox/Cleanse process. I am always in awe and with gratitude with each circle I am apart of, that in these group classes the courage and vulnerability that the participants show up with is truly raw and inspiring. It reminds me of the simplicity yet power of human connection, and that our ability to heal when one is truly seen and supported in a non-judgmental way, is greatly enhanced.

I will be the first to admit: The program is not for the faint of heart. It is multifaceted and requires an intense commitment. There is the time factor, and the strict guidelines around food intake and liver supportive supplements, and cooking whole fresh foods and making time to exercise and get enough sleep. (It is like a wellness bootcamp, yet integrated with the theme of "ahimsa" and loving kindness to the self.) With all of these restrictions and rules, it still interests people. Twice a year, in the spring and fall, participants continue to sign up "keenly," or with the utmost eagerness and enthusiasm for their own healing, and creating time and dedicating energy to their mindful self-care. We discuss mindfulness in this workshop often, connecting to the many layers in which our habits around food and choices we make around sleep and exercise are interwoven with what we are consciously or unconsciously harboring/connecting to emotionally.

Today is Day 3 of the Detox/Cleanse. As the group progresses through the program I look forward to watching their transformation, similar to the beautiful plants and flowers in bloom this spring.

If you are interested in participating in a future event of this Detox/Cleanse program, facilitated in a group setting please inquire on the contact page.
